Wrap-Up Monthly : August 2017

It’s September 2nd today means time for #AugustWrapUp. yayy!! I’ve read 4 poetry books and other 3 books last month. Very excited to ever read 7 books in a month. So are you curious what the books are? So, here we go :

※ August wrap up:
1. The Dog I Have Kissed by Trista Mateer (🌟🌟🌟🌟)

25784766

I was only reading this one in one sitting, and literally I loved it pretty much. This is just another a compilation of poems book that told you about what happens to our daily lives.

2. Confess by Colleen Hoover (🌟🌟🌟🌟)

22609310

This is actually my second book of Colleen Hoover that I’ve read this year. I was expecting more stuffs to happen in this book. Yet, unluckily, I was wrong. 3. Take Me With You by Andrea Gibson (🌟🌟🌟🌟)

** I got an E-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

I loved this one pretty much. Once I opened up the very first page, I thought that it would be my kind of book to read, and yess. it was. You’d find lots of illustrations inside, like those made the book so much prettier than having no pictures inside. :3

4. They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟)

33797105

I got an E-ARC copy of this lovely one from Edelweiss+ , I’m so thrilled when I opened up my gmail account to find out that I got an email from Edelweiss+, and once I clicked it open, my lips started to turn into a smiley face. Find out more about my review here

5. The Chaos of Longing by K.Y. Robinson (🌟🌟🌟🌟)

**I received a copy of this book from NetGalley.**

Honestly, this book is pretty wonderful. Once I read the very first page I could see so many good things about this book. Yet, unfortunately I couldn’t get into the book that much, I don’t really know what’s wrong though. I just don’t get the story so much.  Honestly, this book is pretty wonderful. This is actually my 2nd book of CoHo that I fell in love with just by reading the very first chapter.

I liked this one. It contains lots of poetry and prose inside which I think very relatable with my own life. Somehow I could see myself in it. I don’t know whether it’s such a good sign or not. Hmm.

Most of them are 4 starred books. Bare with me, I just woke up from my reading slump that time. So I was kinda picky and the books weren’t as good as I expected them to be.

Yet, I haven’t picked my next read yet. So, I think I’m going to read some books that are sitting perfectly on my shelves unread for September. It would be so mucj fun to read, at least, 5 books in September. I’m not really sure tho, knowing my midterms are coming sometime in late September. .

  1. It looks like you had a pretty good reading month! I’m dying to read They Both Die at the End (no pun intended, haha) so I’m really glad to see you liked it so much!! I really want to read more poetry collections so I may have to check out the ones you’ve mentioned here. I hope you have a fantastic September! 🙂
