The Temptation of Adam by Dave Connis – REVIEW

Hello.. Hello guys.. Good evening, it’s 16.36 where I live, and I am ready to write a new blog post of 2018. And yeah, it’s February 1st now, what a good day to start up my blog (again). Honestly, I apologize for leaving like that, but I needed to catch up with my college life. That’s why I haven’t been around lately. Next Monday will be my very first day of my new semester, I believe it’d be such a hectic one, but I promise to get around a lot than before. So, let’s move to the blog post. Today I’m going to post one review of my first book of 2018 and the first book in my 2018 reading challenge. It’s The Temptation of Adam by Dave Connis. Have you read it? How do you like it so far? Please read till the end of the post to find out about my review. 🙂

Description              :
Adam Hawthorne is fine.

Yeah, his mother left, his older sister went with her, and his dad would rather read Nicholas Sparks novels than talk to him. And yeah, he spends his nights watching self-curated porn video playlists.

But Adam is fine.

When a family friend discovers Adam’s porn addiction, he’s forced to join an addiction support group: the self-proclaimed Knights of Vice. He goes because he has to, but the honesty of the Knights starts to slip past his defenses. Combine that with his sister’s out-of-the-blue return and the attention of a girl he meets in an AA meeting, and all the work Adam has put into being fine begins to unravel.

Now Adam has to face the causes and effects of his addiction, before he loses his new friends, his prodigal sister, and his almost semi-sort-of girlfriend.

MY RATING  : 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I finished reading it a few days ago, and unfortunately I haven’t gotten a chance to write a review.

So, I’ll do it today. 🙂 Let’s start with,

I loved it so much, there are only few people in the story. So it wouldn’t make you confused. I loved with the character of Adam as well. He’s kinda lost though, I feel for him. Lost of people have been leaving him, so it didn’t shake me when I found out that he’s the one who addicted to porn. I also feel for Mr. Cratcher as well. He’s very supportive teacher out of all people. He’s the person who tried his best to help Adam to get over his addiction.

It’s pretty good as well, considering I was having lots fun enjoyment while reading it. It didn’t take me long enough to understand what Dave’s about to tell. There’s a cliffhanger as well hen Adam decided to leave his soon-to-be-girlfriend, and the girl turned out trying to end her life.

So over all, I loved this book so much. If you’re looking for a teenage boy main character, this one would definitely be good for you to read.

That’s all, hope you enjoy my review. Until next time with another review. 😉
